WEEKEND YOUTH (CLUB) LEAGUES

Our weekend youth leagues are for local club teams. Though teams from outside the area are welcome to travel here to play, this is not a 'travel league!' All games will be played at The Pitch.

FORMAT

Girls U10, U13, and U16.

Boys U10, U13, and U16.

All leagues are 5-aside (4 field players + 1 goalkeeper).

DAYS OF WEEK & TIMES OF DAY

Our youth leagues operate on Saturdays and Sundays between 9am and 6pm.

START DATES

Our WINTER SEASON is due to begin its regular-season play during the week of January 4, 2016. (The start date may move to later in January, depending on the number of teams who register between now and January 4th.)

Early registrants will have an opportunity to play pre-season/exhibition games in December 2015.

SEASON-LENGTH / NUMBER OF GAMES

A typical season comprises 5 regular-season games and a minimum of 1 playoff/cup match. If a team makes the final, said team will play a total of 6-8 games in one season. In other words, the length of a season will be 6-8 weeks.

Game-Length

Games will comprise two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime break.

Roster-size

A team must have a minimum of 8 players but we recommend that a team carries 10-12 players.

HOW TO REGISTER

If you are a coach of an existing team or would like to form a team, please get in touch in order to join one of our youth leagues. Email us at info@nysoccerproject.com

If you are a parent whose child would like to join a team, please email us: info@nysoccerproject.com

Fees

Our fee structure depends on several factors: sponsorships, the number of teams that register, the season in which a team is registered, and other variables. For the latest information on team and per player fees, please email us. One thing is for sure: we charge less than any other indoor soccer facility in NYC (and we are confident to say that we also offer much more!).

WHO RUNs Youth LEAGUES AT THE PITCH?

Our leagues are run only by the New York Soccer Project - whose award-winning recreational soccer programs have been operating in NYC since 2010. Soccer Project leagues are the only rec. leagues in NYC to offer all of these features: USSF certified referees, accident coverage, EPL match balls, and a non-profit arm that runs youth soccer programs for under-served/under-funded public schools. The Soccer Project's non-profit programs also operate at THE PITCH, as well as at several NY Parks and school facilities. If you represent an organization interested in running a soccer event (or other sporting event) at The Pitch, you will need to form a partnership with New York Soccer Project. Please contact them at info@nysoccerproject.com
